FAQs

  • Do you teach beadwork classes?

While I do not currently teach on a larger scale I am in the process of making this dream a reality. In the near future I will be holding a beading workshop for indigenous kin as well as an educational workshop for non-indigenous allies. The best way to keep informed on when classes will begin and to secure a spot is by signing up for our newsletter or following me on Instagram.
If you are a business interested in hosting a beading workshop please contact me via our email form.

  • Do you take custom orders?

Unfortunately I rarely accept custom orders at present, though I do make exceptions for non-profits when possible, as well as friends and family. Right now my focus is on supporting my family and being gentle with myself. As a creative person who is neurodivergent, I find it distressing to be restricted in my work and I don’t believe I can put forth good medicine if the piece I’m working on isn’t being worked on with joy.

  • Where do you source your materials?

The vast majority of my materials are organic and sourced as locally as possible. When ordering or trading for materials I follow the following priority order for purchasing:
    1) Indigenous made and/or owned
    2) Calgary/ Alberta made or owned
    3) Turtle Island made/owned
For Indigenous makers who would like to inquire about where to obtain specific materials, please contact me via our email form and I am happy to provide suggestions and sources.
