Hummingbird Medicine Pouch

This little hummingbird medicine pouch is for the land defenders and habitat protectors. In 2021 the discovery of Anna’s hummingbird nests in an area intended to be infringed upon by the Trans Canada Pipeline halted progress in the area for four months. This pouch was made to honour and show solidarity with our small but mighty relations.

Appropriation Disclaimer: Our medicines and medicine pouches are traditional and sacred to most Indigenous groups. While most of my pieces are intended for all relations and allies, I respectfully ask that non-Indigenous allies refrain from purchasing medicine pouches unless they are planning to gift the pouch to an Indigenous person or organization.
